This course is taught by our Lead Instructor Jim Baker who currently holds a Master class Certification in Carry Optics division.

Primary Focus

Steel Challenge Competition

This course is for the shooter that is currently in D,C or B class that are looking to class up !

Additionally even if you are not interested in competing this is a great course for the shooter to learn to draw and engage multiple targets at speed.

Course Length

7 Hours 9am- 4pm

Course/Match is limited to 8 students.

We will shoot an actual match with 8 of the official Steel Challenge stages with coaching and instruction.

You also get $25.00 off your next match fee with us !

Match results will go toward your national classification if you hold a USPSA member #.

This class is open to

Centerfire semi auto pistols and revolvers in calibers .380,9mm,40-45ACP and 38 super

PCC Rifles in 9MM, 40 – 45ACP

Rimfire pistols and rifles (Semi-Auto)

Skill Level Requirements

This course is for novice to intermediate shooters that know the four firearms safety rules and can adhere by them to a fault.

As this is a more advanced course we suggest that students wanting to take this course have taken our Red Dot pistol 1 course previously or have had prior level 1 training in order to get the most from this course.

We require a minimun of 4 students for this course. If the 4 student minimum is not met all paid bookings will have their paid fee credited to their Middletown Training account to be towards another class, 1 on 1 training or range time of their choosing.

Course Primary Focus...

This course is designed as an advanced Red Dot Pistol training program building on foundational skills acquired in level 1 courses. We will start with a recap of skills learned during our level 1 course. AT this level 2 course students will be pushed to their failure point so to start to understand what is needed to advance in their skillset !

We will dive into advanced shooting techniques such as transitioning at speed, acceleration and deceleration drills and shooting on the move with critical thinking scenarios.

Using the eyes to move your gun

Mental change up needed for accelerating and decelerating in your shooting

Skill level Requirements...

This is a beginner to have some experience course.

However if you have no experience we suggest you Book a 1 on 1 private lesson prior to this class so you may feel more comfortable in a class setting.

We require a minimun of 4 students for this class. If the 4 student minimum is not met all paid bookings will have their fee credited to their Middletown Training account to be used toward another class, 1 on 1 private training or range time of their choosing.

This course is designed for ladies with little to no experience. We tailor the cirriculum to the level of the students so that each is challenged per their own skillset.

Emphasis is on developing safe handling of their firearm and instilling strong fundamentals that can be built upon.
