Dan Mumaw
Dan calls Stephenson, VA his home. He is a graduate of Jefferson Co High and James Rumsey Technical Institute. Dan is also a 2008 graduate of the American Gunsmithing Institute.
He has been a machinist for 40+ years. Dan's hobbies are spending time with his grandkids, hot rods, drag racing, and of course...FIREARMS.

Detailed cleaning and inspection of all parts. Does not include test fire or materials. Customer provides ammo. Price may increase for excessive rust/dirt.

Detailed cleaning and inspection of all parts. Does not include test fire or materials. Customer provides ammo. Price may increase for excessive rust/dirt.
Firearm Sight In
Range sight-in service for rifles. Does not include ammunition.
Mount & Bore Sight
Mounting scope/mounts and bore sighting. Does not include machining, scope, mounts or other parts.
Pistol Sight Install
Installation of most pistol sights. Does not include machining, sights or other parts. Some pistols may cost more.
Bore Sight
Bore sighting of standard pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
Scope Mounting & Bore Sighting

Proper orientation of components.

Bedding around recoil lug from action into stock.
Pillar Bedding
Bedding around pillars and stock. Some extensive jobs may cost more.
Stock Refinishing
Refinishing stocks after repair. Another favorite service of ours!
Stock Repair
Repair of cracks and damage in stocks. One of our specialties!

Remove existing barrel and fit/install new barrel. Does not include barrel cost.
Thread Barrel
Threading barrels to customer specifications. Barrel must be 20+ inches w/o receiver removal. Under 20 inches requires receiver removal. Includes thread protector.
Firearm Inspection
Visually inspecting the firearm after disassembly for defects to ensure the firearm is safe to shoot or to identify any underlying issues. Note: Ammo and test fire fees may apply.
Test Fire - Test Tube
Test fire and function check in our test tube.
Test Fire - Range
Range test fire with bench rest and target results provided.
Barrel Indexing
Barrels can be timed for flute or stamping positioning.
